Day 4 – Parmesan and Poppy Seed Crackers
December 4th, 2011On the fourth day of Christmas The Pink Whisk sent to me…..Parmesan and Poppy Seed Crackers – perfect for your cheeseboard!
Makes 24 thick crackers.
Ingredients:
300g plain flour
2tsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp onion salt
115g butter
2 tbsps vegetable/sunflower oil
2 tbsps poppy seeds
130ml water
30g parmesan cheese

Day 3 – How to make Fudge (with a Christmas twist of course)

Of course you can make any flavour you like and I’ll show you how!
Just a word of warning – it’s hot, very very hot please don’t burn yourself and keep the kids well out of the way.
Ingredients:
1 x 397g tin of condensed milk
150ml milk
450g Demerara sugar
115g butter
100g Christmas Pudding

Lolly sticks
Sugarpaste in peach or pink, red and black (or a black icing pen)
White edible ribbon (Renshaws) or white sugarpaste
Royal icing

Hurrah! For me, Christmas starts on the 1st December, I have to be held back until today before festooning everything in sparkles and fairy lights because I’m a Christmas nut! So anyway, the website is the same, today starts The Pink Whisk’s 12 Days of Christmas, one Christmassy bake or project a day for the first 12 days of December – like an advent calendar but with only 12 (think 24 might just finish me off!)

Holly Wreath Cake

Steak knife
