The Great British Bake Off with Stork
Summer holidays is always bedlam in our house, but it does always mean the start of a new series of The Great British Bake Off – and that’s definitely a reason to be happy!
Cheese & Onion Pie
This has to be one of the very best things to come out of my kitchen – you may have to save me from a Cheese & Onion pie addiction!
I have a great friend, Dor who shared a Cheese & Onion pie with a great group of ladies recently and I have dreamt about it ever since, plus with Father’s Day approaching and knowing my Dad loves this pie as much as I do I knew I had to give it a go.
Baked Camembert
Just a little dose of Valentines inspiration for this quick and easy starter or treat to share with a loved one (or indeed if they don’t like cheese aka Mr C, just to eat on your own!)
Valentines Heart Baked Camembert, and no you don’t need to go hunting for a heart shaped cheese, add a regular round Camembert to your shopping list and I’ll show you how it’s done…
You will need:
1 x Camembert cheese, either small or large.
How to Make Dumplings
…and a Horseradish Dumplings version too
It gets to the depths of winter and I’m always in real need of a good something to cheer me up. A hearty beef stew and dumplings is just the thing! I’m guilty of not putting recipes on the blog because they seem to easy for anyone to be interested in but maybe you need some cheering up too, if so get yourself a batch of dumplings on the go….
Day 12 – Potato Skins – Festive Style!
Festive Potato Skins are the last recipe in my 12 Days run. Ideal for feeding hungry children, adding to your buffet table or for using up any Christmas dinner leftovers. These can be done easily with smaller potatoes too if you have lots to feed.
Day 7 – Christmas Quiche

Bonfire Banger Rolls
A saucy sausage baked inside a bread roll? What’s not to love? In fact these were polished off sharpish by my bunch of hungry boys.

450g strong white flour
2 tsp caster sugar
2 ½ tsp fast action yeast
Blue Monday and Walnut Biscuits
Hello gang! Hope you’ve all had a fab summer hols? Well I’m back to the baking and kicking off with a savoury recipe for these delicious blue cheese and walnut biscuits.
Over the summer I made thousands of biscuits (quite literally) for Alex James – to be served at the launch of Blue Monday at The Big Feastival.
The Ones for a Picnic!
Hopefully the weather will be good enough to get on at least one picnic this summer – here’s what I’ll be packing in the cool bag!
Ultimate Sausage Rolls – that’s if I don’t eat them hot off the cooling rack!
Flour Tortillas
At last! It appears to be BBQ weather, and whilst I’m stuck for Father’s Day ideas I figured a BBQ might be just the thing to treat your Dad. Now BBQ’s don’t naturally lend themselves to baking but a batch of these flour tortillas will certainly go down a treat.
