Afternoon Tea – Mini Cheesecakes with Rosé Syllabub
Vanilla Cheesecakes with Rosé Syllabub
I have to admit I don’t get on well with baked cheesecakes – that is until I cracked it with this one. Perfect for my Afternoon Tea served individually on vintage saucers but makes an equally fabulous large 8″ cheesecake.
Wedding Baking – Sweet Treat Kebabs
Biscuit, marshmallow and meringue – all in one go! These sweet treat kebabs are perfect wedding treats with brilliant wow factor – ideal for dipping in a chocolate fountain. This idea came from a Martha Stewart project and of course has the Pink Whisk twist with Raspberry Sherbet Marshmallows.
Wedding Baking – Tea Cup Biscuits
I thought we’d start off with a project that is really simple but definitely one of those finishing touches that will be ooh’d and aah’d over. By no means limited to weddings these tea cup biscuits can be done for any special occasion including having the girls round for a brew and a slice of cake!
On the second day of Christmas The Pink Whisk sent to me….Snowman Cookie Lollies
So cute, last year I sent these to all the children in the family instead of a christmas card. This batch are off to the School Fair to raise some money for the PTA.
Make up the cookie dough as per the instructions here Sugar Cookies and roll out slightly thicker this time to about 7mm thick and chill the sheets of dough.
Recipe for Sugar Cookies – Children in Need
I’m sure many of you will be baking to raise funds for Children in Need so here’s my how to for the perfect Pudsey Bear Sugar Cookies. Children in Need is Friday 19th November 2010 – you can find out more here.
Perfect Vanilla Cupcakes and Meringue Buttercream Frosting
I’ve spent ages trying to find the right recipe to make delicious vanilla cupcakes – light and moist with nicely risen domed tops – no volcano effects here. Something like this should be simple to do and it is – as long as you use the right recipe.
Jammy Damson Brulee
At this time of year you just can’t beat nature and all the lovely fruit it gives us for free! I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on a huge amount of Damsons. After our jam stocks have surged enough see us through the next five years I thought I’d better find something else to use them for.
Betty’s Vanilla Custard Slices
Who’s Betty I can hear you ask! She’s my lovely Nanna who taught me to make these when I was about 12. It’s what every twelve year old should be learning. Shop bought vanilla slices come nowhere near comparing.
These use homemade rough puff pastry and up until earlier this year I always used shop bought ready made stuff thinking that making my own would be some kind of ordeal.
